Funding Call - Research Readiness Conversations with Communities

Have you explored how health research can improve your community?

Thames Valley Research Engagement Network, part of NHS England’s Research Engagement Network, is offering short-term awards (Feb–Apr 2026) to Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) groups in the Thames Valley area.

Purpose:

Partner with your community to:

• Share experiences and understanding of health research
• Identify lived needs and research priorities
• Explore ways to access and participate in research
• Build confidence and awareness about research opportunities

What’s involved?

Design and host an event with support from TVREN to start conversations about research readiness.

Follow-up events may include exploring platforms like Be Part of Research and developing community research champions.
